LegionBet Side Bet City Rules
Side Bet City by Evolution is a fast-paced poker-based table game that has become a staple at many online casinos. Understanding the rules and strategies is key to playing it effectively. This guide provides a clear, no-nonsense breakdown of how to play Side Bet City on the LegionBet platform, covering the rules, payouts, and practical tips.
How to Play Side Bet City: The Basic Setup
Side Bet City uses five standard 52-card decks shuffled together. The game is played with three hands: Hand A, Hand B, and Hand C, each consisting of five cards. As a player, you do not receive your own cards. Instead, you bet on which of these three hands will win based on standard poker rankings. You can also place bets on specific combinations across all five cards. The game begins once all bets are placed, and the dealer reveals the five cards for each hand to determine the outcomes.
Available Bets and Their Payouts
There are six main betting options in Side Bet City. Your goal is to predict the outcome of the dealt hands. The available bets and their respective payouts are detailed in the table below. It’s crucial to note that the game’s overall RTP (Return to Player) varies significantly depending on which bet you place, ranging from approximately 83.66% to 97.84%.
| Bet Type | Description | Payout |
|---|---|---|
| Hand A Wins | Bet that Hand A has a higher poker rank than Hand B and Hand C. | 2 to 1 |
| Hand B Wins | Bet that Hand B has a higher poker rank than Hand A and Hand C. | 2 to 1 |
| Hand C Wins | Bet that Hand C has a higher poker rank than Hand A and Hand B. | 2 to 1 |
| Three of a Kind | Bet that any of the three hands will contain Three of a Kind or better. | 40 to 1 |
| Straight | Bet that any of the three hands will contain a Straight or better. | 8 to 1 |
| Flush | Bet that any of the three hands will contain a Flush or better. | 5 to 1 |
Understanding Poker Hand Rankings
Since the game is based on poker, knowing the hand hierarchy is essential. Hands are ranked from highest to lowest. A Royal Flush is the best possible hand, while a simple High Card is the lowest. For the “Wins” bets, if two or more hands are of equal rank, the winner is determined by the highest card(s) in the hand. It is also possible for a bet on a specific hand to push (tie) if two hands have the exact same value, resulting in a return of your stake.

Strategies and Tips for Playing
While Side Bet City is primarily a game of chance, a strategic approach can help manage your bankroll. The “Wins” bets (A, B, or C) have a much higher RTP (around 97.84%) compared to the combination bets like Three of a Kind (83.66%). This makes them a far less volatile option for consistent play. The combination bets offer huge payouts but hit very rarely. A common strategy is to place a larger base bet on one of the “Wins” options and a smaller, opportunistic bet on a combination like a Flush or Straight for a chance at a big win.
